Server and Network Integration

Servers

S. A. Hughes Consulting builds and install servers for the Internet. The operating system utilised is usually Linux, however Microsoft and other operating systems can be installed if this is what best serves the client's needs at the time.

Below is a short list of typical server uses.

- Database Server
- Sound and Video Streaming

Many of these server uses can be bundled together. For example, it is quite common for a web, mail and file server to be in the one unit.

Also, services for migration from other Linux distributions to Red Hat Linux and system upgrading (e.g. from Red Hat Linux 9 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3) are also provided.

Networks

Internet infrastructure can be set up from scratch, existing networks upgraded, expanded, etc. Such infrastructure includes LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks) and encrypted channels for companies.

Routers, switching hubs, firewalls, and other networking equipment are either built or purchased according to requirements.

Fees

Server and network setup fees for a small network (10 to 100 users) usually are within the range of 200,000 to 600,000 yen.
