tod S. A. Hughes Consulting today published a translation of an article written in Japanese by MOONGIFT entitled, "SquirrelMail - Webmail Strikes Back".

This article focuses on the open source software SquirrelMail, and summarises the core reasons why webmail finds itself in the spotlight.

- Fri Jul 9: dot SquirrelMail Replaces Microsoft Outlook at Red Cross Hospital

tod A translation of a paper written by Kiyoshi Sawada at the Department of Medical Informatics, Nagoya Daini Red Cross Hospital in Nagoya, Japan, has been made available.

The paper, "Implementation of an Open Source Webmail System - Freedom from the burden of supporting Microsoft Outlook", details how Kiyoshi and his team replaced Microsoft Outlook with SquirrelMail throughout the hospital.

- Fri May 7: dot Strategy, Product and Support Announcements

tod Numerous announcements are to be made on several levels over the next few months. First is the following regarding supported Red Hat distributions and releases.

As of Thu May 6, the Red Hat distributions and releases supported by S. A. Hughes Consulting are Red Hat Linux 9, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (all Red Hat supported releases) and Fedora Core (all current releases). Red Hat Linux 6.2, Red Hat Linux 7.3 and Red Hat Linux 8.0 are therefore no longer supported. Further details regarding this will be available at this site shortly, in the meantime, please see here.
